Love the effects!

I love this app, Im always looking for interesting things to do with my photos and this definitely fits the bill. Highly recommended.

I really love this app. Its a nice alternative to Instagram, or just posting regular pics to Facebook. Its great in that in addition to taking pics through the app, it also allows you to apply the effects to pictures that are already in your camera roll. Also allows you to post pics to Facebook, Instagram, twitter, etc.

Usually an app that changes the appearance of images tends to be old and look like everything else youve seen. Etchings gives you fresh new and very well rendered effects that you want to share with your friend and print and frame.

Intuitive, easy to use, lovely results...I started transferring photos from my iMac to my iPad just so I could use this app! The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that there doesnt appear to be an "undo." Not a big deal as it is easy enough to reapply a previous filter, but an undo would make it that much easier. Also, if would be nice if we had the option to have rectangular pictures as well as square. Hopefully, these things will be added in a future update. Even without them, I still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app! It takes what might be a mediocre photo, and turns it into what appears to be a vintage illustration. Ive got next years Christmas card ready to go!!!

Came from using this lovely little app. I never liked the etching style until I used Etchings. And now I like the results from this the best of all my filters.

Easy to use, creates beautiful renderings, makes average pics look dynamite! Super value for the price.

This is a fun app. Love the effects it puts on my photos. Some cool stuff!

Fun and really marvelous half-toning effects to achieve the look of a printed etching, if you can avoid the moire patterns. (Those patterns can be avoided by choosing images better suited to the screen resolution on your device.) Have purchased the in-app upgrade, but it doesnt work -- yet. Still, the app is highly recommended if you like the look of pictures as they appear on currency, newspaper column portraits, postage stamps, etc. Fun time-killer.

I enjoy the different look I get with this program. Use a strong focal point for great results. I like big flowers or single subjects in center Save and send, make your own stamp or dollar bill. A lot of fun!

Please let me turn off the frames. Theyre fine sometimes, intrusive others. Old review: Like others, I looked forward to this apps arrival because of stories on various iPhonography blogs. Its really good, and Ive already enjoyed working with it (it pairs really well with Decim8, for example, and output from it adds great texture to in various layering programs, like Layover). I understand the developer plans to add higher resolution. Id like the option for portrait or landscape, too, not just the tyranny of the square. As a paper and collage artist, I looked forward to the stamp, the faux-postage "Air Mail" filter, and its great. We really need a good faux postage app that would allow changing colors, adding altering text, etc., and this isnt that, but its still welcome. I hope the makers of this app will find ways to expand the options within the postage filter over time that would allow that kind of thing. But on the whole, this is a really welcome addition to my app library. Its easy to use, creates a variety of looks, offers some genuine flexibility, and so on. Congrats to the developer(s).

I have always liked the look of an etching. This tool is a treasure. What a discovery!! William

This app has worked quite well for me in the past, but in my iPhone 5s, the cropping tool you (must) use to select a photo to work on does not crop the photo as you adjust it in the preview. Thus, the app is more or less useless as you are unable to precisely select which part of your photo you want to use.

Wonderful little app for people who like to play around with photographs. I think you could say its an essential if you want to do something that looks more like art. I cant wait to see what this becomes and what else these people do.

I absolutely HATE being forced to square crop my photos. It ruins a good many of them, therefore I am much less inclined to use apps with that limitation. Otherwise, this would be a really cool app. Two stars off for the square crop issue though.
